Study in London, Then Pursue a US Master’s: Meet the ASU London Pathway
Picture this: three years studying in London, with the option to continue to a US master’s degree at Arizona State University (ASU) in year four. That is the idea behind ASU London’s study model.[1][2]
It is not a “two degrees guaranteed” package. You still need to meet the required grades and programme conditions before progressing to ASU.[1] Still, for students who want a UK experience while keeping a US master’s option open, it is an interesting route to explore.
So, what exactly is ASU London?
ASU London is an independent, UK-accredited higher-education institution. It was founded and is supported by Arizona State University, but it is not an ASU branch campus.[6] Your undergraduate qualification is a UK degree awarded by ASU London. Eligible graduates can then access progression routes to selected ASU master’s programmes.[1][6]
Think of it as building your bachelor’s foundation in London, then having the chance to take your next academic step in the US.
What can you study?
ASU London lists bachelor’s degrees in Business and Management, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Engineering with Artificial Intelligence, Engineering with Mechatronics Systems, and Global Design Engineering.[1][2]
Published ASU master’s options include Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence in Business, Business Analytics, Marketing, Economics, Information Systems Management, Supply Chain Management and User Experience.[1]
BSc Computer Science, for example, is a three-year degree that covers programming, software engineering, AI, cybersecurity, big data and smart systems through industry-style projects.[5] It is designed for students who enjoy creating, testing and improving digital solutions—not just learning the theory behind them.
What should international students prepare?
International applicants can apply through UCAS or directly to ASU London.[3] The current international-entry page lists IELTS Academic for UKVI at 6.0 overall, with no skill below 5.5.[3]
For Indonesian students, it is worth asking ASU London to assess your high-school qualifications directly, as accepted qualifications and foundation options can vary by applicant profile.[3] Once you receive an offer, you will also need to prepare for CAS and the UK Student visa process.[3]
If you later move on to ASU, master’s admission, costs and US immigration are separate steps. A UK visa does not automatically mean a US visa, post-study work permission or master’s place is secured.
What about scholarships?
For international students starting an undergraduate degree in 2026, ASU London lists the Inaugural Global Scholarship as a scholarship worth £4,750 per year, equal to 20% of annual tuition fees, for eligible recipients.[4] It is limited, linked to specified programmes and requires international-fee status, an offer, and meeting the acceptance and deposit deadlines in the offer letter.[4]
The scholarship is helpful, but plan for the full picture: tuition, London living costs, visa, insurance and flights, followed by potential US master’s tuition and living costs. Before committing, ask for written confirmation of your degree, fees, scholarship, master’s options and required grades.
