Malaysia has become one of the most favorite study destinations for international students, including those from Indonesia. With an internationally recognized education system, relatively affordable tuition fees, and a comfortable multicultural environment, studying in Malaysia is a strategic choice for your academic and career future.

Education System - Local Experience, Global Degree

Higher education in Malaysia is closely monitored and regulated by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia.

One of the highlight features of Malaysian education is the Twinning Program (2+1, 2+2, and 3+0). This program allows international students to complete part of their studies at a Malaysian university and the remainder at a partner university abroad (such as in the UK, Australia, or the USA) to earn their degree.

  • "2+1": 2 years in Malaysia, 1 year abroad.
  • "2+2": 2 years in Malaysia, 2 years in the USA.
  • "3+0": The entire study is completed in Malaysia, but the degree is issued by the foreign partner university.

You will receive the same curriculum as the partner university and learn from internationally certified lecturers, all while enjoying a much more affordable cost of living.

Favorite Cities for International Students

Kuala Lumpur: The most popular city for students and tourists. It serves as a hub for business, shopping, and entertainment, and hosts many top universities. With convenient MRT/LRT transportation, diverse culinary options, and a large international student community, KL is very student-friendly.

Selangor: Known as Malaysia's "Student City," Selangor is home to various international private universities. It offers a calmer environment and more affordable costs, making it a preferred choice for many international students.

Penang: Often called the “Food Capital” of Malaysia, the cost of living here is 20–30% lower than in the capital. The relaxed vibe and beautiful beaches give you the perfect study-life balance.
