UTS Sydney Full Tuition Scholarship for February 2027: Vice-Chancellor’s International Undergraduate Scholarship

Searching for a Bachelor scholarship in Australia can mean sorting through many pieces of information: award value, academic requirements, application steps, and on-campus study conditions. For high-achieving international students targeting the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), the UTS Vice-Chancellor’s International Undergraduate Scholarship is open for Autumn session 2027, with a February 2027 commencement.[1]

UTS lists this opportunity as a full tuition scholarship for the standard course duration. Its Conditions of Award say UTS pays the UTS tuition fees for the approved Bachelor degree course into the recipient’s fees account each teaching session for the scholarship duration.[2][3] This support is for UTS tuition fees; do not assume it covers living costs, accommodation, OSHC, visa costs, flights, books, or personal expenses unless these are stated in your offer or award terms.

Who can apply?

The scholarship is for commencing international students applying to an undergraduate programme at UTS Sydney. Applicants must remain international students—not Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, or Australian permanent residents—and meet the admission criteria for their selected Bachelor programme by the scholarship closing date.[1]

Other listed requirements include:

  • commencing full-time, on-campus study in Sydney;
  • completing Australian Year 12 or high school studies comparable to Australian Year 12 outside Australia within three years before starting at UTS, and being admitted to UTS on that qualification;
  • achieving an overall average of 85% where the pass mark is 50%, or an equivalent result in a UTS-recognised high school qualification;
  • applying through the UTS online Scholarships Application form; and
  • not studying a UTS online or distance-mode degree.[1]

UTS also states that recipients of other UTS International Grants or Scholarships are not eligible unless an exception is approved and outlined in the Conditions of Award.[1] Read the complete requirements for your own intake, as eligibility and exceptions can be updated.

How are recipients selected?

UTS says it will award the scholarship to the highest-ranked applicant based on academic merit in the qualification used for admission to the chosen Bachelor degree, together with responses to questions in the online scholarship application.[1] Academic results matter, but the written responses deserve serious preparation too.

Use your responses to show real evidence—not simply a list of achievements—of commitment to excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship, or social justice, which UTS identifies as focal values for this scholarship.[1] Choose specific examples, explain your role, actions, and learning, and connect them honestly to your study plans.

Autumn 2027 deadline

For Autumn session 2027 (February 2027 commencement), UTS lists an application period from 1 October 2026 to 2 November 2026, 11.55pm AEST.[1] Do not leave it until the final week. Before applying, make sure you have:

  1. selected a suitable Bachelor programme;
  2. checked admission requirements and the qualification you will use;
  3. prepared academic records and documents requested by UTS;
  4. drafted and refined your application-question responses; and
  5. submitted the online scholarship application before the deadline.

This scholarship is competitive. Meeting the basic requirements or applying does not guarantee an award. RIM Education can help you review UTS programme options, build an application timeline, and prepare supporting documents. Contact RIM Education to discuss your plans.

Scholarship value, deadline, eligibility, programme availability, and award terms can change. Always check the official UTS scholarship page and Conditions of Award for your selected intake before applying.[1][2]
