Coventry University Alumni Discount: 25% off Tuition Fees for Postgraduate Study

Continuing your studies after a bachelor’s or master’s degree can be a strategic way to deepen expertise or move into a new field. For Coventry University Group alumni, Coventry offers an Alumni Discount worth 25% of tuition fees for the majority of published postgraduate taught courses, including postgraduate certificates, diplomas, master’s degrees, and MBAs.[1]

This is a fee reduction/discount, not a cash payment or a separate scholarship. Since the benefit is applied after enrolment, applicants should still prepare a realistic payment plan, offer documentation, and overall study budget.[1]

Which alumni may be eligible?

Under the terms checked, applicants need to have been awarded an undergraduate degree or a full postgraduate degree with at least 180 credits by Coventry University Group.[1] Coventry’s stated Group coverage includes Coventry University, Coventry University London, CU Coventry, CU London, CU Scarborough, Coventry University Wrocław, Coventry University Online, and transnational collaborative academic partners delivering Coventry University degrees.[1]

In practice, do not rely only on the campus name on your certificate. Check that your degree falls within Coventry University Group coverage and prepare graduation evidence if requested.

Covered courses and intakes

The official page says the reduction applies to the majority of published postgraduate taught full-time or part-time course fees, with stated exclusions for Education MA, Educational Leadership MA, and the PGCE Online only version.[1]

Those terms apply to all intakes in the 2026/27 academic year.[1] Coventry University London also states that alumni can receive the 25% reduction across all 2026/27 start dates, whether continuing in the same discipline or moving to a different subject or campus location.[2]

Course availability, fees, delivery mode, and location can still differ. Confirm that your intended course is available for the intake you want before building this benefit into your budget.

When is the discount applied?

Coventry explains that the 25% Alumni Discount is automatically applied to an eligible applicant’s fee account and deducted from the final payment after enrolment.[1] Approved fee reductions and discounts are also applied after enrolment in that academic year.[1]

The sequence matters: alumni status does not replace an admission application and does not guarantee that initial fees or deposits are unnecessary. Follow the instructions in your offer letter and ask Coventry directly if you need clarity on payment timing or how the reduction will appear in your account.

Can it be combined with other awards?

Based on the page checked, the Alumni Discount can be combined with the Sport Scholarship and EU Support Bursary.[1] Outside those two benefits, it cannot be combined with another scholarship, bursary, or discount. Where only one benefit can apply, Coventry says the largest discount will be used.[1]

The benefit is for self-funded students; sponsored students are not eligible.[1] Coventry states that awards are at the University’s discretion and may be amended or withdrawn, including where a student defers.[1]
