RIM On Demand™ ‘In Demand’ At ARMA
We were pleased to discover that RIM On Demand™ was preceded by its reputation at ARMA’s 54th Annual Conference & Expo, Orlando, FL, October 15 to 18, 2009. Not only were many of our booth visitors already very familiar with our website, white papers, newsletter and conference sessions, but were impressed with our ability to fill a void in Records and Information Management (RIM) training during these challenging economic times.
‘RIM’ is more than just a buzzword. It is a term – now more than ever – charged with urgency. As ARMA explains, everyone in a company plays a role in managing their organization’s records to protect its future. RIM On Demand™ is a an engaging way to communicate this message to a large number of people in a cost effective manner.
RIM On Demand™, presented by Cohasset Associates, brings the annual MER Conference to desktops in streaming video, featuring trusted authoritative advice from the world's foremost experts. These experts include judges, attorneys, consultants, solution providers and seasoned professionals presenting their ideas, insight and experience on the current challenges facing RIM professionals.
Several visitors to our booth were regular MER attendees but have been unable to attend in the last few years due to budgetary constraints. They were grateful to be able to “attend” the MER at their convenience and from the comfort of their desks through RIM On Demand™. They were also delighted that each RIM On Demand™ session qualifies the purchaser to one hour of ICRM continuing education credits.
We were approached by a number of vendors who want to share the RIM On Demand™ sessions with their customers to help themcommunicate the critical importance of records management to their employees and executives. Some of these vendors are now buying subscriptions in bulk while others are posting the free preview links on their websites.
We also had the opportunity to connect with several ARMA chapter leaders who have purchased RIM On Demand™ to provide their members with a cost effective educational opportunity. The Seattle chapter now hosts bi-weekly brown-bag lunches – “consuming” a different RIM On Demand™ session at each meeting. They say it has been a huge success in terms of getting chapter members together to share an engaging educational experience.
