ARMA and
Cohasset Associates have just released their white paper on
the records management industry survey results. This is
a bi-annual effort and the results are the best way for
organizations to benchmark their records management programs
against others. Since the responses are anonymous, the
findings are authentic and lack the spin that is inevitable in
face-to-face conversations with

Survival Tips for the migration to Electronic Medical
Records
William S. Horn,
MBA
At the time of this
writing (October 2009) it is unclear what new healthcare legislation will pass
and when. The debate has prompted a great deal of discussion about the
American healthcare industry moving to electronic medical records. One thing
is certain; more change is inevitable and the genie is out of the bottle.
Electronic recordkeeping will be adopted over time and I am here with some
survival tips.
A word of caution…the
field of records and information management is loaded with exceptions. As I
lack the space to cover them all, read the following with the understanding it
is accurate in more than 90% of situations and will provide you with a good

www.RIMeducation.com
contains white papers, articles and video of conference sessions which
elaborate on the nuances and a more thorough analysis.

RIM
On Demand™ 'In Demand' At ARMA
Terre
Britton
We were pleased to
discover that RIM On Demand™ was preceded by its
reputation at
ARMA’s 54th Annual Conference & Expo,
Orlando, FL, October 15 to 18, 2009. Not only were many of our booth visitors
already very familiar with our website, white papers, newsletter and
conference sessions, but were impressed with our ability to fill a void in
Records and Information Management (RIM) training during these challenging
economic times.
‘RIM’ is
more than just a buzzword. It is a term – now more than ever
– charged with urgency. As
ARMA
explains, everyone in a company plays a role in managing their
organization’s records to protect its future.
RIM On Demand™ is a an engaging way to communicate this
message to a large number of people in a cost effective manner.
